My goal at Jewell Animal Hospital is to provide a warm, caring, and flexible environment for our pets and their owners. With an emphasis on great customer service and the latest medical, surgical, and pain management techniques, I want clients to walk away feeling that their companion animals received the best possible care and attention available anywhere in the city!
 

  IN-HOME VETERINARY CARE

Jewell Animal Hospital is now offering in-home veterinary care visits for both existing and new clients!

We can perform almost all of the same exam services in your home that we can in our clinic. Physical exams; administer vaccines, medications, and fluids; we can draw blood and/or take cytologies and bring it back with us to the hospital - your Veterinarian can call you and go over results later in the day. If any medication is prescribed, we can deliver to you within 24 hours after the visit. However, we will not be able to perform in-home surgeries (surprise!), x-rays, or ultrasounds.

**Available time to schedule these visits is M-F 9am-5pm.

**The base cost for an in-home pet appointment is $150. Regular exam charges are not included.


To schedule, please follow the instructions below:
  • Call our office at 773.271.1901
  • A two hour block of time is required
  • Scheduling is dependent on the Veterinarian, time, and Zipcar availability
  • A $150 non-refundable deposit is required (this will go towards the visit as long as the appointment is kept)
  • Confirm your address and direct contact phone number
  • Please be as specific about the reason for the visit as possilbe when scheduling with our Customer Service Representative
  • PLEASE NOTE: The Veterinarian and Veterinary Technician will leave our clinic at the time of your appointment. E.g. if your appointment is at 9am, you should expect the Veterinarian and Technician around 30 mins later. One of our Customer Service Representatives will call the contact number on file to inform you of the time of their departure from the clinic and the time to expect them based on your location.
New Clients:
  • We require:
    • New client & patient paperwork filled out (you can print the forms here, fillout & scan, and email to us at jewellanimalhosp@gmail.com or fax to 773.271.1901)
    • Any previous records if available (email to us at jewellanimalhosp@gmail.com or fax to 773.271.1901)
Payment:
  • At the end of the visit, the Veterinary Techinician or Veterinarian will call the clinic to invoice the charges per your discussion and approval with the Veterinarian
  • At that time we can process payment over the phone
  • Invoice can be emailed to you upon request

  And that’s not all…

We are equipped with the most modern blood analyzing machines.

We have access to internal medicine specialists at IDEXX Corporation for follow-up consultations on difficult cases.

Surgical patients at Jewell Animal Hospital are monitored for all vitals during procedures including "Bair Huggers" to keep anesthetized patients warm and cardiovascular machines to measure anything from blood pressure to carbon dioxide output.

We have access to the latest information using the Veterinary Information Network and have established relations with veterinary specialists from neurologists to dermatologists.
